For this assignment our professor asked us to take photos of something that had to do with the topic of politics, economics, etc. Since elections were taking place for various positions in local government, I had decided to take photos of the many campaign ads around my neighborhood.
I chose to upload this photo because of the depth of the photograph. You can see how far down the campaign ads go down the road. Before I had edited this photo you were able to the see the car's registration card in the corner, which would have really showed where the point of view was coming from, but I felt that it took away from the photo, and it would have been seen as an obstruction to what I am actually trying to show in the photo.
The two photos below were taken by a closed down gas station. The chain linked fence became a wall for all of these campaign ads to be posted on. From a photojournalist standpoint one is able to see the competition between each candidate. Additionally they are also able to see how each candidate running for a position tries to outdo each other in terms of the size of their respective ad.
